Alan Medvin got his real estate salesperson's license in 2001 at the age of 18. A consummate professional, Alan is best known for his deep market expertise, level-headed approach, and creative deal structuring. Alan believes that a good real estate agent must have the highest level of expertise in their area and must help their clients understand every step of the buying or selling process. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Fire Island real estate market, real estate investing, and building and construction making him equally adept at assisting the experienced investor, the first time buyer, and everyone in between. Alan also has considerable experience representing sellers as a listing agent, providing his clients with the utmost care, effort, and persistence in the marketing and sale of their homes.
Along with his sister and business partner, Abigail Mago, Alan was the co-owner of A2 Vacation Homes, a rental management firm that managed over 30 homes on Fire Island that they sold to Vacasa in 2019. Alan also runs A2 Development Group, a real estate development firm and Build Fire Island, a construction and project management company focusing on building and remodeling homes on Fire Island.
Prior to working on Fire Island full time, Alan was the Chief Operating Officer of Magnify.net, a small venture capital backed startup, where he helped pioneer the field of video curation. In his four years at Magnify, Alan led a revenue increase of over 400% and helped raise several million dollars in additional investment capital. After his experience at Magnify, Alan decided the time was right to return to real estate, seeing opportunity in the Fire Island market. Alan lives with his wife and two daughters in Woodbury during the winter months and Seaview during the summers. He enjoys boating, running, traveling, and is working hard at improving his Fire Island vegetable garden.
